Slobozia National Museum of Agriculture – it activity includes the history of agriculture, industrial archeology and agricultural anthropology specific to Romania. Established by Ialomița Prefecture Decision No 176/1990, it was officiallly opened to the public on March 25,1996.
Museum patrimony is formed:
- Wooden Church “Poiana” – historical and architectural monument (1737), which provides all religious services for parish “Buna vestire”.
- Perieți Model farm – it is an agricultural history monument, the largest farm which produced vegetable and flowers seeds in Eastern Europe in the first half of the 201 century.
It also includes representative collections ( over 11,000 pieces) such as : tools, agricultural machinery and industrial archeology equipment, means of transportation, ethnography, history, art and religion.
