Dridu Monastery is situated in the village of Dridu, on the Valey of Ialomita, in the Field of Snagov.
Dridu Monastery is an ascetical site, rich in old examples of Christian life. In 1467 the ruler Radu the Great fortified the monastery.
In 1992 it became a nun monastery, with the wake of The Canopy of The Mother of God, in the eparchy of the Episcopacy of Slobozia and Calarasi.
The nuns of the monastery are plied in painting on wood, canvas, glass, making chaplets, sculpturing and tailoring.
