On one of the high terraces of Ialomita River, between Crăsanii de Jos and Copuzu villages, in Balaciu locality, there is Getic Dava (settlement) in the Crasani Peak, a place full of history and legends, still vaguely known.
Crasani Peak settlement came into attention of the scientific world since 1870, the first researches being made by Dimitri Butculescu, and later his results helped Bollian Caesar to define the first features of Dacian material culturre. In 1923, there have been retaken the archeological researches on Crasani Peak, which would have been atracted important personalities of Romanian archeology : Ioan Andrieșcu, Vasile Parvan, Radu Vulpe, Nicolae Anghelescu, Nicolae Conovici.
After 1969, the experts of Ialomita County Museum had a special contribution to archaeological research on Crasani Peak, being coordinated by the Institute of Archaeology in Bucharest.
